The other day a fellow asked whether or not I ever wrote a bad review. That was easy to answer. Although my own writing may be deemed “bad,” I don’t write negative reviews for two reasons. First of all, I write reviews for books that I think are worth reading. There are too many good titles not being reviewed for me to waste my time writing about books not worth reading. Second, a really negative book review seems to me to say more about the reviewer than the book and/or author. I am going to assume that my co-reviewer, Jacqueline Smay, feels pretty much the same way. Of course, if she doesn’t, we’ll all hear about it.
