  1. Sounds like I missed a good meeting. You can count me amongst those who did not care for the book.We seem to be on a coming of age theme in our lastest book selections. Anxious for the disscussion of “OF HUMAN BONDAGE’. Willkeep my thoughts to myself until we meet. Love this book site Sunny. Konnie

    1. Thanks, Konnie. Most of the group felt that nothing really happened and yep, that was true. I’ve got to work on this because now I think that “nothing happening” pretty much discribes most summers for most fifteen year-olds. And I think that was part of it. It was a fun meeting and I’m just so darned happy that people come to hear the negative, too. Thanks for liking the site. TJ and I, well, really TJ, are working out the kinks and I’m just trying to keep my head above water.

      As much as I liked “Sag Harbor,” I do think I probably should have picked “Apex Hides the Hurt.” To my mind, nobody does pop culture and current business mores better than Whitehead. But what the hey, that one lady’s opinion.
